lets try something different...

Looking around for ways to expand my skill set, I decided to do a quick art test and make a Rocket League rocket trail. 

PreVis and Concept...

I went to  Rocket League to pull reference on already existing boost effects and found common elements that I would mimic, so as to stay consistent with the game’s theme. When this was done I made a list of the effects elements I wanted, then pulled image references and made a concept illustration.

Final Render...

Over all, I had an enjoyable experience while creating this effect, despite the fact it’s been a few years since I have worked with Unreal. And while some things have changed in this program, I still see the strength in this engine and see where I could incorporate it along with other applications.
